The Church of Christ here in Poplar Bluff was the first to start putting quotes on their sign, years ago when I was in high school. Now I find myself driving out of my way just to read it on a weekly basis. They have been funny, they have been inspirational, and they have been thought-provoking. Most churches now follow the trend of a weekly quote, but the best ones are usually on the sign at Highland Drive Church of Christ. There are so many to choose from, I can't decide which I like best.

Great thought, Lavon. I heard someone say once that the only perfect church is an empty one.

I saw a sign recently that said " A hypocrite is someone that is not themselves on Sunday."

I like the one that said, "If church was perfect I could not go." It helped me to realize I need to stop complaining because there are no perfect churches and no perfect people. We go to church because we are not perfect and NEED guidance. Just a thought
