What do you call it?
Some people call it pop, some call it soda, some call it Coke no matter the flavor. I call that syrupy sweet, calorie laden, rot your teeth, make you belch beverage that I love so much, soda – when speaking in generic terms. However , I only drink Coke Classic. I hate it when I order Coke and they bring me something else, and I know it. Some establishments will say, “We have Pepsi. Is that ok?” And I reply, “No, it’s not ok. Just bring me sweet tea or water.” Here is a map of the US that shows the breakdown of what this tasty beverage is called. Click on a state to see the breakdown by county. They left out the choice of soda-pop.

Dolan you have way too much time on your hands. I am a born raised tarheel and we call it all coke even though Pepsi is the only choice. You should be practicing. lol

The next logical question is what kind
The answer to that depends on whether you like Dr Pepper, or Sprite, Diet Coke, Regular Coke, Vanilla Coke, Cherry coke …..
That’s the way it was and we LIKED it!!!
Vanilla Coke, Cherry Coke, New Coke, Coke Fusion…anything other than just straight coke is just nasty in my opinion
And I am definitely with you Dolan, Pepsi is sooo NOT ok

Oh, and since my daughter works at Sonic, I get Cokes often. It’s Coke Classic for me as well, but from Sonic my favorites are Lemon Coke and Chocolate Coke.

Well, in Colorado it was soda or pop. I got laughed at down here so it’s Coke, even though I want a Pepsi. Although I am beginning to really like this Vault stuff. The extra caffeine is really exhilerating!
