Is RFID the Mark of the Beast
I remember hearing my Grandmother talking about the evils of how the social secruity number was the beginning of the “Mark of the Beast” and then came credit cards and bar code scanners! Repent the end is near! Well Bill and I were talking about RFID technology and how RFID and other technologies are making the fullfillment of end time prophicies easier and easier. My thought on it is to turn to God’s word in Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petetion with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” We need to be in prayer now more than ever – praying for the lost. No one knows when the Lord will come again – but we are to “watch and pray” and live our life for Christ so others would see Him in us.
RFID – Good or Evil? What do you think?
Below are some additional links that talk about RFID technology. I do not in anyway endorse these websites nor do I vouch for the validity of the information contained therein. It just different things I ran accross and thought you might like to read some of this.

I watched the video of the guy getting chipped….there are just so many levels of insanity in that thing…what i found really interesting is the possibility that carjackers would be patient enough for you to chew it out of your own hand ….if they are supposedly gonna cut off your thumb to use your thumbprint then what on earth is gonna stop ‘em from just getting your hand “to go”
sigh

OK, as much as it frightens me to say this and actually mean this, here goes. . . “I AGREE WITH DEANNA!” I feel better just getting it out. Now I can deal with some other issues here.
As for whether it is the mark of the beast, let me address that. I’m sure that the people working on this didn’t say, “Alright, I think that we have the ability now to bring about the end of the world. Let’s do it!” I do, however, feel that this is definately one more step toward the end. This gives us the capability to not be able to buy or sell without it! it also gives us the ability to track every person with it (the active type). And at, what was it, 7.5 cents per unit, it is cost effective! It has so many great and benificial uses that the case could easily be made for making it mandatory (who wouldn’t want to protect their child against being abducted except for an emotionally disturbed, radical, fundamentalist!). I’m not saying that this is it, but if its not, it sure is close to it!

Bill brings an interesting point…and it doesn’t pain me to say so because it just goes to prove that great minds think alike! LOL
But really what this reminds me of is what Jeremiah says, that the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked….I don’t believe that those who created this chip or any of the technology that goes along with it had the original intentions of ushering in the end times or creating tools for evil. But a heart entrusted to the flesh and the influence of the world can be easily manipulated and used for evil. Without being surrendered and put under the authority of Jesus then a heart trusts in it’s own understanding and reason, when a heart is influenced by the flesh there really isn’t much in the way of boundaries, discernment or wisdom going on.
So imagine if the energies, intellect, and desires of those same people were turned for good – entrusting, surrendering their heart to Jesus – and I’m talking beyond salvation, to more of the day to day , moment to moment surrender…what really incredible things could be accomplished!
I guess my point is – regardless of the intention, if any of us set our mind or our hands to accomplish anything without first surrendering our heart (desires, emotions, motivations) to Jesus then there is always the potential for it to all be manipulated for evil purposes….

I was thinking, if hackers were so interested in getting credit card information, how interested would they be in the information contained within the chip. You could be hacked driving down the street, eating out, or even in your own home. Devices similar to those used to steal cell phone information could be used to steal your identity even quicker. So no one is who they seem anymore. You will still be required to show your drivers license as proof and credit cards will become obsolete and we’ll be back to the beginning. Cash for everything and as we have seen in the Bible, those folks ran around in the wilderness lost and then they are given hope and they blow it and get sent back to the wilderness. Are we as a society blowing it to end up back in the wilderness?
