Every year during the month of October, God brings to mind an incident in my life. I was a new believer and I was sitting in the auditorium of our church. It was dark and I was the only one in there. I don't remember the circumstances as to why I was the only one in there at that time, I just remember sitting in the first pew thinking about how great it would be to come to church every day. I thought about being able to come into the auditorium any time I wanted to sit, pray, and think. I guess that because I was a new Christian, this place was where my walk with God was taking place. This was the place that I had met God and this was the place that He spoke to me. I had no idea that He was going to call me into the ministry later in my life (it would have scared me to death at that time!). I think that God brings that memory to me every so often to remind me of how blessed I am to be doing what I am doing. I think that is is the ministers in the churches that need to have a "Member Appreciation Month" every year. Just think about it . . . I get paid to do what we are all called to do anyway (doesn't seem fair, does it)!

If I may be so bold . . . On behalf of all ministers in all churches, thank you to all members of those churches. We are more blessed than we could ever be a blessing! I look forward to the time when we will all kneel around the throne of the One that has drawn us together!
